What I see in preview is the video playing 'jerkily', not smoothly, the Audio seems to sound OK but it becomes out of sync with Video, as the video seems to play wrong. I have on rare occasions used that method with some good results in the past. Joe I would not abandoned the idea of using the Eport Audio Option in Camtasia Studio as for a lot of new or maybe some advanced users this is great information in my opinion. But, as stated when doing a more Professional Screencast I almost always use the separate audio with a script to have more control over the audio and for me at least it makes it easier to sync the audio to the video or move things around.

I have found when I am just making a small short reording say for showing a quick setting in Windows 10 or other software then I just use the Camtasia Studio and record my audio with the screen at the same time. I usually record my audio/script separate using other software like Audacity, Adobe Audition, and I also use PreSonus Studio One 3 Pro DAW Software with my USB Audio Interface(s) which I have a few of those available. wav formats with the 44,100 Hz and 16 Bit. I would agree with Joe on Camtasia not working well with.
