The American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) states that blue light-blocking products are unnecessary when using digital devices because it is a lack of blinking and moisture that causes digital eye strain. Currently, there have been no firm conclusions about how blue light may affect a person’s eye health. I read that this was 'fixed' in various posts but I disagree because I'm still experiencing it.There has been much debate about how the blue light from screens may affect human health. I'm running the absolute latest version of Big Sur (11.6) and have Screen Savers/Energy Saver monitor/sleep settings completely turned off. I filed a radar bug and have seen similar threads on this in the past but there's been no reliable solution nor movement on fixing this. By that point, the VNC session starts to work again but this is basically an untenable solution. Unfortunately though, typing the password and pressing 'enter' only returns me to the screensaver and I'm unable to proceed without plugging a monitor into the Mac Mini and futzing around. When this happens, I am unable to exit out of it via VNC except for the rare occasion where I can press Ctrl + Cmd + Esc to force a lock screen, which allows me to enter my password. It works great until about 5-15 minutes pass by and suddenly the screen saver turns on even if I'm actively using the system. I have it plugged in headless and VNC into it as my primary means of accessing the desktop. Hi folks, I'm still being plagued by a bug caused by either macOS or the M1 Mac Mini + macOS. The command is: sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/ loginWindowIdleTime 0 It was a hidden setting that could only be set via Terminal.
